Swiss designed sofas, vintage chairs and modern art: Inside Kourtney Kardashian's beautifully redesigned home she 'created for my family'

Major overhaul: Kourtney Kardashian shared the finished results of a total home design makeover via her website www.kourtneykardashian.com on Tuesday that included a look at her plush living room
Kourtney Kardashian's personal life has gone through some changes and - on a more positive note - she's given her home a major overhaul as well.

The 37-year-old Keeping Up With Kardashians star gave her Calabasas, California mansion a total new look and design with the help of interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard.

Kourtney spared no expense either and filled up the dining and living room spaces with both vintage and contemporary furniture and exquisite art pieces, as seen on her website www.kourtneykardashian.com.

'Designing my house with Martyn Lawrence Bullard was such a fun experience, and I’m so proud of the beautiful space we created for my family,' the mother-of-three shared along with a video of the process and the results.

Kourtney was involved in every stage of the planning to create chic yet comfortable spaces in which to relax with her youngsters Mason, Penelope and Reign, and her visiting siblings.

Bullard showed her 'mood boards' that revealed the 'palate' of colours and textures so she could get a feel for the rooms.

'She’s very visual and she loves to feel and see, and really understand the furniture pieces before she buys them,' the designer says in a descriptive video on the site.

The living room is Kourtney's favorite in the house because it's 'the heart of the home' featuring a pale patchwork cowhide rug on the grey hardwood floor to tie in the large Christian Liaigre sofas and the modern art.

The art includes a Damien Hurst diamond-dust skull print that former fiance Scott Disick gave her.

'The living room is a very special space because in Kourtney’s house, it’s the heart of the home,' Bullard describes in the video.

'For me, modern luxury is comfort. Kourtney’s all about comfort. She loves big deep sofas and very soft, lush pillows, and things, which is quite funny because she’s quite little, and so it’s kind of great to see her little, tiny, gorgeous body with these huge pieces of furniture.'

The dining room is a breathtakingly airy space dominated by a long table that comfortably seats 12 and vintage Pierre Jeanneret dining chairs that Bullard picked out in flea markets and art auctions.

'And then of course to add a little more of Kourtney’s style, we wanted to add contemporary art, so we added in a really important piece of 70s art by Roy Lichtenstein,' the designer says.

'His amazing piece of art gives life and it gives passion to a dining room.'
