Crown Princess Mary seemed to be channelling the Duchess of Cambridge as she was spotted taking five-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine for a ride in Copenhagen's Amalienborg Palace last week, swapping her usual designer wares for jeans and a stripy top (centre).
The 44-year-old royal, who is also mother to Christian, ten, Isabella, eight, looked like she was enjoying the early spring sunshine as she cycled near Amalienborg Palace in the Danish capital, the family's official residence.
Onlookers couldn't help but notice the striking similarities between the Princess and the Duchess, who wore an almost identical outfit at a SportsAid Athlete Workshop in 2013 (left).
Chanel director Karl Lagerfeld once dubbed the pair 'royal sisters' before Kate married Prince William in 2011.
They also share similar taste in style, as shown by Princess Mary's off-duty choice of skinny jeans and a stripy Breton-style top, a look which is also favoured by Kate.
Both women were born outside of the royal circles they now move in. Princess Mary - who was formerly Mary Donaldson in Tasmania - worked as an advertising executive when she met Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik in a pub in Sydney when the city hosted the 2000 Olympics.
