Man in Prison on Weapons Charges Files Paternity Claim Against Prince's Estate Saying He's the 'Sole Surviving Heir': Report

A 39-year-old Missouri man currently serving time in federal prison has requested a DNA test to prove that he's the biological son of late singer Prince, ABC News reports.

Carlin Q. Williams filed a paternity claim against Prince's estate, alleging that he is the star's "sole surviving heir," according to ABC News.

Prince had no will in place when he died at his Paisley Park compound on April 21, and left behind an estate reportedly worth about $250 million – with posthumous earnings that could total $100 million or more.

Williams filed an affidavit on Monday, and in it alleged that his mother, Marsha Henson, had a one-night tryst with Prince in July of 1976 at a Kansas City, Missouri, hotel. Williams was born on April 8, 1977.

The man is currently incarcerated at a federal prison in Colorado for weapons transport, ABC reports.
