But Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth looked every inch the happy couple while attending the same wedding recently.
The unconfirmed couple attended the ceremony of a close friend in the coastal Australian town of Byron Bay, where Thor star and Liam's brother Chris was participating as groomsman.
The 23-year-old cut a 70s-inspired figure in a maroon floral maxi dress with a wide-leg and a rounded neckline, appearing to be by local designer Spell & The Gypsy Collective.
She tied her peroxide blonde locks up into a ballerina bun and appeared to wear little make-up for the relaxed event.
Meanwhile Liam appeared rather casual for a wedding, wearing a white shirt with short sleeves, navy chinos and boat shoes.
The rumoured celebrity couple were also seen to be having a happy discussion with the bride on the balcony.
Later in the night, a video emerged of Miley seated with a guitar, dedicating a song 'about the person' she loves.
'This song is about the person that I love, so now it works for you guys,' she said before strumming the strings.
Liam and Miley - who called off their engagement in 2013 - first hinted they might be getting back together after the singer was pictured with the actor in Australia last December.
The couple were also spotted at Falls festival in Byron Bay and Miley is said to have rung in 2016 at a party at Liam's brother Chris and wife Elsa's home.
