But with Cuba's limited internet access, it's hardly surprising that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West appeared happy to be home when they touched down in Los Angeles on Friday evening.
The Hollywood power couple didn't appear to be suffering from the holiday blues as they each wore a beaming smile when alighting from their private jet, possibly upholding truth in reports that they didn't enjoy being cut off from the technological world during their break.
A source told The New York Post's Page Six: 'They love the culture, but they don’t like the technology.
'They’ve had an issue every two seconds about not having internet. They complained they couldn’t get on Snapchat. They’re frustrated and they can’t wait to leave.'
The insider then added: 'They weren’t culturally prepared for Cuba.'
MailOnline have contacted Kim's representatives for comment.
Always a fashionable flyer, Kim, 35, descended down the steps of the aircraft in a low-cut black vest top which was layered beneath a stylish duster coat.
She slipped her shapely pins into a pair of ripped skinny jeans, while elongating her legs with barely-there nude stilettos, a staple in the reality star's wardrobe.
Kanye sported his signature sports luxe style in a white hoodie, which he teamed with charcoal jeans and black trainers as he greeted his friends who were there to take the twosome back to their Bel-Air mansion.
Along with their adorable little ones North, two, and Saint, five months, Kim and Kanye were also joined by her sister Kourtney and her three children, Mason, six, Penelope, three, and Reign, one, during their exotic sojourn.
The visit to Cuba was taped for season 13 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Kim, Kanye and North were trailed by a camera crew as they took in the sights on the communist-led island.
They were joined on the mini-break by Kim's elder sister Kourtney, 37, and her three children with estranged partner Scott Disick: Mason, six, Penelope, three, and Reign, one.
Younger sister Khloe, 31, was also along for the ride.
