Jamie Vardy's not the only one having a party! Jubilant fans celebrate all night on the streets of Leicester with city's hospital so overrun that medics warn walking wounded to stay away

After a historic Premier league victory last week, the streets were awash with blue and white shirts and flags after the team finally lifted the trophy at the King Power Stadium (inset) yesterday.

The streets were so crowded that cars had to be guided along the roads by police, as the party moved from the stadium to the city centre (pictured, main).

Fans climbed atop street furniture (top left) and even a lamppost (bottom left), as the party continued into the early hours.

The streets descended into chaos, with drunken fans seen passing out on pavements and benches (top right), leaning on friends as the evening drew to a close.

Others stumbled through the streets and carried each other on their backs (bottom right), enjoying a carnival atmosphere in the summer heat, with many describing the fun outside on the streets as 'better than clubbing'.

Although the city's public services have paid the price, with Leicester Royal Infirmary asking people to stay away if possible, as it is still 'feeling the effect' last night, which saw double the number of admissions than on a usual Saturday evening.
