Water babies North and Penelope have a splashing good time in Miami... but Kim Kardashian misses the beachwear memo

They may have every expensive toy at their tiny finger tips but when it comes to a day at the beach, these two famous cousins appreciate the simple things just like every other kid their age.

North West and Penelope Disick had a ball in Miami, Florida, on Friday as their moms Kim and Kourtney Kardashian treated them to a beach day.

The tiny toddlers revelled in the chance to build sandcastles and splash around on the shoreline.


However, the 35-year-old could not join in Nori's game of running in and out of the water as Kim was not exactly dressed for the beach.

Never one to miss a fashion opportunity, the realty star left traditional beachwear at home in favour of an ensemble that looked like it had been plucked from her husband Kanye West's first Yeezy collection.

Even if fellow beachgoers did not know who Kim was, she certainly would have caused them to do a double take.
  
                                           
                  

Kim hit the beach in a nude jumpsuit which clung tightly to her chest before flaring out slightly on her legs.

But while a jumpsuit is far from standard beach attire, the star was not done there, wearing a taupe raw edged trench which flowed out behind her as she made her way down the beach.

Kim even skipped a traditional beach bag in favour of bringing a bright orange Hermes Bikini bag down on to the sand.

Fortunately sister Kourtney did not follow her lead, wearing a short summer dress over her bikini so was able to hold on to a squealing North's hand when the tot needed reassurance.

The little toddlers were also immaculately styled for their day at the beach, wearing very fashion forward ensembles that even most adults might be excited to wear to the beach.

Little Penelope certainly set the bar high, with the three-year-old rocking a metallic gold two piece with a gold mesh top and reflective aviator shades.


North followed her cousins glistening lead, wearing a metallic one piece under cut-off denim shorts that were bleached white at the end of the legs.

The fun family time was obviously a highlight for the little ones, but it also gave their moms a chance to enjoy some low key fun before a big action-packed weekend.

The sisters - along with Kanye - are in town for Miami nightlife tsar David Grutman's wedding to model Isabela Rangel.

Kanye flew in after his family so missed out on the beach day.

After their fun-filled afternoon, Kim and Kourtney headed to the couple's rehearsal dinner which also turned into a belated birthday celebration for Kourtney.

Also joining in the pre-wedding night out was pals Jonathan Cheban and Larsa Pippen.
