The most fashionable festival on earth: Supermodels Kendall and Alessandra - plus Brooklyn Beckham - lead style squad in leather, lace and tiny shorts at Coachella (is anyone there for the music?)

The word 'festival' may conjure up images of sodden fields and mud-splattered wellies, but over at Coachella it's an altogether more classy affair.

And as celebrities and supermodels descended upon California for the first weekend of festivities, it was clearly the fashion - not the music - that was taking centre stage.

The A-list guests ditched their wellies and cagoules for hotpants and sequins in a roll-call of designers from Gucci to YSL.

Model Alessandra Ambrosio cut a stylish figure with brown suede boots and a metallic YSL jacket, as she was joined on day two of the outdoor festival by a who's who of young Hollywood, including (pictured left to right) Ashley Greene, Suki Waterhouse, Jamie Chung, Kendall Jenner, Alessandra Ambrosio, Brooklyn Beckham and Kimberley Garner.
