A Swift exit! Taylor glitters in black gown as she leaves Gigi Hadid's 21st birthday bash... where her ex John Mayer was also partying

Gigi Hadid's 21st birthday party on Thursday was a star-studded affair.

But not all of her guests will have exactly been pleased to see each other.

Taylor Swift, one of the model's best friends, was spotted leaving the bash at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood after apparently avoiding an awkward run-in with her ex.


John Mayer was also seen at the party, and while it's unclear if the former couple said hello to each other, they most likely kept their distance.

Taylor, 26, famously penned the 2010 break-up song Dear John about the singer, which includes the lyrics: 'I see it all now that you’re gone, Don’t you think I was too young, To be messed with, The girl in the dress, Cried the whole way home, I should’ve known.

'Don't you think nineteen's too young to be played by your dark, twisted games, When I loved you so.'

Two years after the its release, John told Rolling Stone: 'It made me feel terrible. Because I didn't deserve it.


'I'm pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do.'

John's 2013 song Paper Doll is rumoured to be a response to Taylor, but this has never been confirmed by the 38-year-old.

The lyrics include the lines: 'You're like 22 girls in one, And none of them know what they're running from, Was it just too far to fall, For a little paper doll?'

For the party on Thursday, Taylor dazzled in a skintight glittering black dress,  which showed off her tanned and toned legs.

Showing some skin in an off the shoulder neckline, the sequined gown also featured an asymmetric hemline that skimmed across her thighs.

Taylor also donned a pair of towering black boots that added a rock chick edge to her ensemble - and several inches of height to her already statuesque frame.
