Extraordinary moment baby girl is pulled ALIVE from the rubble of Japan earthquake which killed nine and injured more than 800

Images show rescue workers carrying the eight-month-old girl to safety from the ruined building which collapsed in Mashiki, Japan, during tremors that have killed nine and left 800 injured.


The house was located in one of the worst hit areas, where at least eight people were killed.

The child was rushed to hospital for treatment, but the whereabouts of her family is not yet known.

Aftershocks have rattled communities in southern Japan as businesses and residents got a fuller look Friday at the widespread damage from an unusually strong overnight earthquake.
